Mario Ceroli, Léonor Fini, Titina and Georges Wakhévitch

On the 24th of November 2005, the presentation of the new monographs edited by Vittoria Crespi Morbio and published by Umberto Allemandi & C. was held at the La Scala Opera House. The volumes are on the work of Mario Ceroli, Leonor Fini, Titina Rota (to whom another publication will be later devoted) and Georges Wakhévitch. The presentation, along with the opening of the exhibition Scala stage Scale. 1:16 Sixteen Artists from the Enlightenment to the Avant-Garde, was realised and installed in the renewed La Scala Museum space. The show constructed a hypothetical encounter with painters, scenographers and costume designers, that were active in the Milanese Opera House from 1778 to today, and to whom the first sixteen volumes of the new series are dedicated. The poster for the exhibition was created by architect Italo Lupi. On the occasion, Georges Prêtre and Giuseppe Bodanza, doyen of the La Scala Orchestra, were appointed Honorary members.
