Our first book 

In December 1982, our great publishing venture begins. In collaboration with Banco Lariano, which proposes it as a Christmas present, Silvana Editoriale publishes 12,000 copies of La danza, il canto, l’abito. Costumi del Teatro alla Scala 1947-1982 (“The dance, the song, the dress. La Scala Costumes 1947-1982”). Scholars and protagonists of the Opera House’s life participate in the writing of the publication. Our first book! The first of a very long series. Since, for Amici della Scala, it was important to also publish books that were affordable, the volume La Scala: vita di un teatro (“La Scala: life of a Theatre”), curated by Gianni Long, is released as part of the series Oscar Mondadori. The curator will later write to Anna Crespi, thanking her for having been included in the committee for the work with universities.
