The Coltellacci evening
The great evening dedicated to the presentation of our latest publications, an event which has now become a tradition, was held on the 29th of November 2017 in the La Scala foyer. Vittoria Crespi Morbio relayed to the audience the regards of President Anna Crespi, who unfortunately could not be present. Vittoria introduced the books she curated: Giulio Coltellacci: Theatre Cinema Painting, and Incantesimi: Teatro alla Scala costumes from the thirties to today. On the occasion, General Manager Alexander Pereira, the Maestro Riccardo Chailly and Councellor for culture Filippo Del Corno participated in the event, highlighting the importance of Amici della Scala’s commitment towards the Opera House. Monsignore Luca Bressan, as a representative of the Archbishop of Milan, also gave a speech, focusing on the religious significance of dance. As usual, many were the guests: Carlo Bertelli, Bruno Casoni, Cosetta Colla (who later sent an affectionate note of thanks), Filippo Crivelli, Oriella Dorella, Carla Fracci, Luciana Savignano (a photograph portrays the three dancers with Franca Squarciapino, who, on the occasion, was appointed Honorary member), Adriana Maliponte, Margherita Palli, Luisa Spinatelli and many others.
