Cesare Mazzonis

Another present given – and simultaneously received – by Cesare Mazzonis: on the 7th of February 2013, his book Ragnatele sul nulla (“Spider webs on nothing”, Le Lettere Publishers) was presented to the public. Piero Gelli, eminent literary and music critic, and Armando Torno, columnist for “Corriere della Sera”, conversed with the author. For Mazzonis, who had been artistic director at La Scala Opera House for 12 years, this book, conceived during the course of three decades, is the result of his will to give order to the ideas accumulated over time. In the pictures are some of the many personalities of the cultural, artistic and musical worlds, who gathered together to celebrate Mazzonis’ “return to Milan”.
