Daniele Gatti
Daniele Gatti’s presence at Amici della Scala has always drawn a great audience of members. His way of speaking about music, as well as his spontaneity, make this eminent Milanese conductor a much loved and enchanting character. On the 28th of October 2014, he informed us of his new role as Chief Conductor at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. On the 29th of October 2015, he gave a lecture on the subject of Verdi’s Falstaff that he conducted at La Scala. The video shows an excerpt that demonstrates Gatti’s approach towards musical interpretation, an approach that aims to heighten emotions and stimulate reflection within the audience. The conductor returned to Amici della Scala on the occasion of his conducting of Wagner’s The Mastersingers of Nuremberg.
