Emilio Sala gives a talk in commemoration of Pierluigi Petrobelli

In the opening of the conference dedicated to Puccini’s Bohème, Emilio Sala – academic and musicologist of the latest generation – commemorates that historic protagonist of musicology and criticism that was Pierluigi Pietrobelli, who at the time of the conference (2012) had recently passed away. Pietrobelli was often a guest in the conferences organised by Amici della Scala. Emilio Sala explains that Pietrobelli’s approach on art stems from a very “wide” perspective. In the three images are some pictures of the renowned musicologist taken at Villa Reale, during the presentation of a volume on Giuseppe Verdi’s correspondence.
