Enzo Beacco

On the 3rd of April 2014, in the Amici della Scala offices, Enzo Beacco’s book Offerta musicale. La musica dalle origini ai giorni nostri (Il Saggiatore) was presented to the public. For the occasion, the author conversed with publisher Luca Formenton and Maestro Francesco Maria Colombo, also with the cordial participation of Fausto Malcovati. Speaking about his work, Enzo Beacco highlighted “the importance of numerology, in which the number 12 rules and is also the number of Bach’s tone scale and of Schönberg’s twelve-note series”. As a great musicologist and scholar, he then expanded on “Bach’s geometry, Mozart’s vocals, Beethoven’s dialectic and Stravinskij’s rhythm, in an infinite musical web”.
