The exchanges with the great Carlo Colla and Sons puppet company, a pride of Milan and its theatre history, have unfortunately not been too frequent. Yet this brief letter is telling. Here, the historic company’s inspiring leader expresses his thanks to Amici della Scala for having sent him one of their publications, remembering how the puppet theatre became “a small La Scala” for the Milanese public.
