Felice Casorati

Amongst the great artists who worked at La Scala as scenographers, and whose works were revived and restored by Amici della Scala, Felice Casorati was one of the first to be celebrated in an exhibition presented on the 6th of May 1989, entitled “I Casorati del Teatro alla Scala” (“La Scala’s Casorati collection”). A catalogue was given to all the attendees. A precious publication also followed, curated by Vittorio Fagone and published by Amici della Scala, with Mercedes-Benz Italia as sponsor of the series. The title of the introductory essay is telling: La “prospettiva armonica” di Felice Casorati tra pittura e scena (“The ‘harmonious perspective’ of Felice Casorati, between painting and the scene”).
