Feltrinelli adieu

Inge Feltrinelli passed away in September 2018. The world of culture and that of civil society recognised her as one of the central figures of the 20th century publishing industry. Anna Crespi remembers Feltrinelli in the Les Adieux section of the Association’s website, with the following words:

“We will never forget Inge Feltrinelli’s smile. She would take part in the events of Amici della Scala by always bringing with her a ray of joy.

We pay our emotional, last respects, conscious that Inge was the last great queen of international publishing.

And she really was a queen. Her crown was the radiant gaze she would direct at us. The books were her sceptre. The editorial culture was her throne.

We remember her as a confident friend, a greatly charismatic figure, able to establish intense relationships with others.

How can we ever forget her?”
