Fin de partie – Prima delle prime

Considered worldwide as one of the main events of 2018, the première of Samuel Beckett’s Fin de partie Scènes et monologues, opéra en un acte, the only opera by György Kurtág, was finally staged on the 15th of November 2018 after years of gestation. For the occasion, Ugo Volli was invited to deliver a lecture for the Prima delle prime audience about Samuel Beckett’s theatrical masterpiece that inspired the opera, a text that represents one of the great Hungarian composer’s key influences.
