Flavio Testi
These two dedications in the guestbook hold dear another outstanding protagonist of late 20th century music: Flavio Testi. Composer amongst the most appreciated, exceptional teacher (he also taught Daniele Gatti, amongst others) and great music historian. Amongst the events organised by Amici della Scala (which include a presentation held by Testi on Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande), we shall also mention how, in January 2003 at Palazzo Serbelloni, he presented, along with musicologist Emilio Sala, La Parigi musicale del primo Novecento (“The Musical Paris of the early 1900s”, Edt Publishers), a book written by Testi that has become a classic.
