Gae Aulenti

Gae Aulenti was not only one of the most accomplished and celebrated architects of the 20th century: she was also a scenographer, very involved in the La Scala productions, as well as a noted intellectual. Her presence in the Association’s life is therefore very frequent: on the 18th of November 1985, for instance, she lead, along with Duilio Courir, a symposium with Luca Ronconi on the La Scala’s season inauguration. In 1988, she took part in the press conference for the premiere of Zar Saltan by Rimskij-Korsakov. On the 16th of May 2011, Gae Aulenti’s monograph was presented in the La Scala “Arturo Toscanini” foyer. Gae Aulenti is an Honorary Member.
