Gianandrea Gavazzeni

One of the most internationally renowned figures of 20th century music and culture, Gianandrea Gavazzoni was the third to be named as an Amici della Scala Honorary Member. Here we see him in two photographs, taken in our Corso Venezia 36 offices in 1986. In the letter, dated 1993, he humorously postpones a meeting, without taking for granted that he will still “be amongst the living in February 1994”.
