Gillo Dorfles

A personality such as Gillo Dorfles could not have missed the Amici della Scala events. He has always been a real “friend” of Amici, and an irreplaceable protagonist of book launches, introductions to operas, debates, and cultural events. For this reason, his name recurs often in the history of Amici della Scala. Here is a 1990 letter sent by Anna Crespi to Dorfles, and a photograph which portrays them together. Dorfles was also the curator of an exhibition, with a related publication, dedicated to two of the greatest scenographers of La Scala: Alexandre and Nicola Benois.
