Gino Negri

In some ways, Gino Negri was the “Italian Bernstein”: at the end of the Sixties, he became extremely popular thanks to his TV programme dedicated to music. Yet Negri was also a brilliant composer, capable of ranging from comedy to drama to cabaret, through operas that were shown in all the major theatres, including La Scala. Here we see Negri in a photograph taken at our offices. An author of papers and articles, Negri also contributed to the programme for a concert given by Orchestra della Filarmonica and directed by Riccardo Muti in 1984.
