Iovino and Die Fledermaus

During the lecture event “Scampato adulterio nell’opera buffa alla viennese” (“An avoided adultery in a Viennese opera buffa”), accompanied by videos and audios, Roberto Iovino, director of the Music Conservatory Niccolò Paganini in Genoa, spoke about Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus (The Bat), based on the libretto by Karl Haffner and Richard Genée, and staged at La Scala for the first time in the month of January 2018.
