Lorin Maazel
A great orchestra conductor, whose presence at La Scala is today part of the operatic history, Lorin Maazel was also composer of an opera, amongst many, that had enormous international success and was also staged at La Scala: 1984, based on Orwell’s masterpiece of the same title. His presence at Amici della Scala was an honour (we also see him here with Cesare Mazzonis). It was a great privilege to have him take part in the special “Prima delle Prime”, broadcast by Mediolanum Channel (we here see some of the scenes from the special).
