Niccolò Paganini

On the 19th of November 2002, Palazzo Serbelloni hosted the exceptional presentation of the original audio recordings of Paganini’s Capricci (1931) performed by Giuseppe Gaccetta, pupil of Francesco Sfilio and latest Maestro in a direct lineage of Paganini’s violin method. During the event, which saw the presence of Gaccetta himself, the book by Giorgio De Martino dedicated to Maestro Sfilio (Zecchini Publishers) was also presented. At the end of the presentation was a thanking speech and a dedication by the musicians present: amongst them Giulio Franzetti as well as Giorgio De Martino, author of the book. The motto: “Paganini is alive, Paganini is here!”.
