Riccardo Muti

The first encounter between Amici della Scala and Riccardo Muti took place on the 19th of December 1985: a dinner was held in his honour, on the occasion of his concert with the Filarmonica della Scala orchestra, to celebrate his appointment as a permanent director of the La Scala Opera House Orchestra. During the many years at the forefront of the Opera House, the great Maestro was often involved in the Amici della Scala initiatives, taking part in press conferences or participating in rehearsal sessions with the guests of the Association. In the images are some of his notes expressing thanks and greetings, as well as a letter for him and one by his wife Cristina. Naturally, Riccardo Muti is an Honorary Member.
