Sandro Boccardi

Sandro Boccardi was a real protagonist of the city’s musical and cultural life. It is thanks to him that early and baroque music were brought into the extraordinary setting of the San Maurizio Monastery: an initiative that was extremely well received and appreciated by the public. Ever elegant and modest, Boccardi’s appearances at Amici della Scala events have always been very welcomed. In 1991, Amici della Scala also contributed to the presentation of the organ built by Jurgen Ahrend for the San Simpliciano Basilica.
