Savinio and Ebe Colciaghi

On the 25th of November 2015, in homage to La Scala’s 2015-2016 season inauguration, Amici della Scala presented, in the Opera House foyer, five books curated by Vittoria Crespi Morbio, who spoke along with General Manager Alexander Pereira, Mayor Giuliano Pisapia and the city’s Councillor for Culture Filippo Del Corno. Out of the five publications, four were part of the series “Artisti dello spettacolo alla Scala” (“Performing artists at La Scala”): Umberto Brunelleschi, Mario Cito Filomarino, Ebe Colciaghi and Alberto Savinio. Two testimonies, by two sons of the authors to whom the monographs are dedicated, are particularly poignant: these are by Ruggero Savinio and Davide Mengacci (son of Ebe Colciaghi, and who, in the audio, explains the seriousness and dedication of his mother to this work, that she “perhaps loved more than the family itself”). The La Scala Quartet performed pieces by Giuseppe Verdi and Maurice Ravel.
