The Marchesi Trio

On the 3rd of June 2010 at Palazzo Serbelloni, a meeting of a very particular musical “trio” was held: young Guglielmo Dandolo Marchesi (violin), Bartolomeo Dandolo Marchesi (cello), Lucrezia Dandolo Marchesi (piano) and Alberto Veggiotti (répétiteur) performed pieces by Bach, Brahms, Chopin and Paganini. The three Dandolo Marchesi brothers were born into a family of musicians who steered them towards music through the Suzuki method. As adolescents, they continued their musical studies with great dedication at the Milan G. Verdi conservatory. Thus a musical ensemble between the three brothers was born: a trio that is reminiscent of the family ensemble tradition that has notable precedents in Germanic culture. On the 14th of February 2013, the Marchesi Trio returned to the via dei Giardini premises for another concert dedicated to the members. Naturally, as it is possible to see in one of the pictures, the Marchesi Trio can also be proud of an outstanding relative: their grandfather is, in fact, Gualtiero Marchesi, a world-renowned Italian chef.
