The Restoration of La Scala’s collection

The official letter signed by La Scala’s General Manager Carlo Maria Badini, ratifies the beginning of one of the most important contributions offered by Amici della Scala to the Opera House: the restoration of the collection of croquis and sketches that the greatest artists created for the sets and costumes of La Scala’s performances. It is an immense heritage, which was in need of cataloguing and organisation, that has now been finished and is back in the hands of La Scala and the world of culture. In this letter, Carlo Maria Badini confirms that we have the authorisation to begin the restoration works. As we can read, he considers this a gift from the Association to the Opera House.
